About the pracititioner:

I am certified Holistic Health Practitioner, CKPI Kambo Practitioner based in San Diego. I completed my Holistic Health Practitioner training at Healing Hands School of Massage Therapy in 2017. There, I gained extensive knowledge in Eastern bodywork, anatomy, herbal medicine, and diet and nutrition.

In 2022, I became a certified CKPI Kambo Practitioner after undergoing my second intensive training with CKPI.

My training involved an 8-day program where I sat with Kambo twice daily and served the medicine to fellow practitioners right after sitting with the medicine, ensuring each step of the ceremony was performed in the correct sequence. It was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences I've ever had.

My initial training with CKPI came after leaving an abusive relationship. During this time, the medicine helped me understand my role in that dynamic and guided me out of a victim mindset and made me deep dive into a healing journey with codependency. It led me to find compassion and forgiveness for the person who was emotionally and financially abusive to me as well as navigating some abuse I experienced in my childhood through the intention and integration process I was taught to do with CKPI.

Since then I have sat with Kambo over 60 times, and experience every type of purge there is, so I’ve gone where I’m bringing my clients too. I believe I have a very deep relationship with this medicine because of how many times i’ve sat.

My main focus on my healing journey was connecting my body with my emotions and how illness manifested in my body, which I believe appeared as endometriosis and deep wound traumas.

this is womb medicine, i believe Kambo is the reason I can now function well during my menstrual cycle after being DIAGNOSED with ENDOMETRIOSIS.

THis medicine change my life and continues too.

I believe this medicine works in mysterious ways, and I have primarily worked with women who have experienced domestic violence, who been sex workers, have had childhood trauma, and relationship issues and firmly believe that our illnesses are tied to stored trauma in the body. kambo is an amazing tool for pulling it out.

I am committed to dedicating my life to helping those in need of emotional and physical wellness, continuously learning and growing through my interactions with clients.

How is Kambo applied?

Kambo is administrative through the skin.

That is the only safe way to administer Kambo.

The Kambo points are made with small circular Burns from the vine the frog live on to the top layer of the skin.

The surface of the skin is then peeled back to reveal the epidermis and then the medicine is applied for 20 mins and then Dragons blood which works as a liquid bandage is applied afterwards to seal the burn and that is why you see cute little red dots on people's arms after the ceremony

What happens after a medicine is applied?

Heat is the most common initial sensation, the body will become flush due to the heart rate accelerating and blood pressure increasing.

Ringing in the ears is a common effect due to increased heartbeat as if heartbeat is in the ears.

Once the medicine reaches the blood brain barrier heart rates slows and clients become pale and usually purging starts.

It's very common and expected to experience vomiting and nausea, sweating, shaking, crying, or bowel movements and possible fainting.

The process is short but intense.

Although the experience becomes easier with experience, It takes courage for people to come back to Kambo and many do because of it's many benefits and and because of how good it made them feel afterwards.

The experience itself is usually over within 30 minutes, however the total time for a ceremony can last between 1 to 2 hours.

What are Common side effects?

The most common side effect is “kambo face or frog face” its swelling of the face due to kambo entering the body and into the lymphatic system, it serves as a vasodilator––widening the blood vessels, making the blood flow easily.

So, when you lean forward into the bucket (or literally lay on the bucket like many of my clients do!), the purge fluid you're releasing moves to the face, this usually resides over a couple hours.

While you are able to drive and return to normal activities afterwards, it is recommended that you take it easy and rest if feeling tired.

Who should not sit with kambo?
